Last spring the university appointed a search committee to hire a new Registrar. I serve as the student representative on the committee which will continue its search this semester. The search committee will be interviewing candidates this week.
As the student representative on the committee I will be asking questions related to the candidates’ perspectives on working with students and providing high quality customer service. In my opinion, an ideal candidate would have a strong desire to work with students and want to communicate with us regularly regarding the policies that office administers.
The Registrar is a very prominent administrator at the law school that we all interact with. I welcome any thoughts you all may have as the search process proceeds. Please feel free to comment though this blog or email me directly at dabella@berkeley.edu.
