Faculty Candidate Visit: Ryan Bubb, Monday, February 8 at 2PM in Room 116

Ryan Bubb, an entry-level candidate, will be visiting Boalt Hall. He is scheduled to meet with students from 2:00-3:00pm in Room 116. Mr. Bubb is a graduate of Yale Law School and is currently a Terence M. Considine Fellow in Law and Economics while finishing his Ph.D. in Political Economy and Government at Harvard University. His subject interests include property, business organizations, law and development, financial institutions, and international law. Faculty Candidate Visit: Russell Robinson, Friday, February 5th at 2PM at Room 116

Dear friends,

Professor Robinson, a lateral candidate, will be visiting Boalt Hall at 2:00pm in Rm 116. He is interested in teaching critical race theory, race and sexuality, media and entertainment law and constitutional law.

He is a graduate of Harvard Law School and clerked for Judge Dorothy Nelson at the Ninth Circuit Court of Appeals and Justice Breyer at the US Supreme Court. He is currently a Professor at UCLA and is working on an article regarding the legal regulation of sexuality in prison. Faculty Candidate Visit: Stavros Gadinis, Tuesday, 1/26 at 2PM in Room 116

On behalf of the Student Liaison Committee:
Mr. Gadinis is currently a post-graduate fellow at Harvard Law teaching Securities Regulation. His research crosses the areas of corporate law, securities regulation and international business law. His work analyzes corporate and financial regulation from a political economy perspective. He received an LLM from Harvard and from the University of Cambridge. His first degree in law was from the Aristotle University of Thessaloniki in Greece.

Please review Mr. Gadinis' attached resume and come to the session prepared to participate in a discussion of his scholarship, his commitment to student mentorship, and any other questions you may have for a Boalt faculty candidate.

Faculty Candidate Visit: Cary Fishkin, Thursday 1/21 at 2PM in the Dean's Seminar Room

I wanted to share this information, from Student Liaison Committee member Tania Valdez regarding Ms. Fishkin's visit:
As I am sure you know, Boalt is trying to fill several open slots for professors in several different subject areas. This next year will be *crucial* in determining the character of the faculty for many years to come.

Today, Thursday, January 21, 2010, Cary Franklin, an entry-level candidate, will be visiting Boalt Hall. She is scheduled to meet with students at 2:00pm in the Dean's Seminar Room. She is a graduate of Yale Law School and is currently an Irving S. Ribicoff Fellow at Yale. Her teaching and research interests include: Constitutional Law, Family Law, Antidiscrimination Law, Employment Discrimination, Legal History, Property, Feminist Legal Theory, Gender & Sexuality Law, and Disability Law.

Faculty Candidate Visit TODAY (1/19): Joseph Fishkin, 2PM at Room 116

Mr. Fishkin is a graduate of Yale Law School and received a Doctor of Philosophy in Politics from the University of Oxford. He is currently the Oscar M. Ruebhausen Fellow in Law at Yale Law School .Mr. Fishkin is interested in teaching labor and employment law, election law, health law & bioethics, education law, constitutional law, tax policy and local government law. Mr. Fishkin's current research focus is voting rights, equal protection and disparate impact law.
